Leaking pipe, dripping fitting, or water where it shouldn't be? We find the source and fix it properly — same day where possible.

Indoor leaks usually show up as damp patches on walls or ceilings, water stains, mould, or puddles under sinks and around appliances. The source is not always where the water appears — water travels along pipes, joists, and cables before dripping out at the lowest point. We trace the leak back to the actual source before making any repairs.
Outdoor leaks often go unnoticed for longer. Signs include soggy patches in the lawn that never dry out, a water meter that keeps ticking when everything inside is off, or a gradual drop in water pressure. Underground leaks on the supply line between your toby and the house are your responsibility as the homeowner — not Watercare's. We locate and repair them.
We don't guess. Our approach is systematic:
The right repair depends on the pipe material, the location, and the condition of the surrounding pipework:
A single leak on a copper pipe that's otherwise in good condition? A spot repair makes perfect sense. But if you're dealing with old galvanised steel or polybutylene pipe, patching one leak usually means another will appear within months. At that point, the smarter move is to replace the whole pipe run.
We'll be straight with you about which option makes sense for your situation. No interest in doing a patch job that won't last — and no interest in recommending a full repipe when a simple repair will do the job.
For active leaks causing damage, we treat it as an emergency and get there as fast as we can. For slower leaks that aren't causing immediate damage, we usually book same-day or next-day.
The most reliable test is your water meter. Turn off every tap and appliance in the house, then check the meter. If the dial is still moving, water is escaping somewhere. Other signs include damp patches, mould, a musty smell, or an unexpectedly high water bill.
Yes. Watercare owns the pipe up to and including your toby (the meter at the boundary). Everything from the toby to your house is your responsibility. That includes the underground supply line running across your property.
Often, yes. We use pressure testing to pinpoint the leak location, which means we only need to open up the minimum area to access and repair the pipe. We won't tear out more than necessary.
If the leak is active and causing damage, turn off your toby at the boundary. This stops all water to the property. If it's a slow drip that's contained, you can usually leave the water on until we arrive.
